• Group Fitness.

The Recreation Instructor

• Group Fitness reports to the Recreation Coordinator. The primary function of this position is to plan and teach fitness classes. Fitness Instructors must have working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology and training principles. They must also possess knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies and the incorporation of music, tempo, cueing technique, rhythm, choreography and music skills.

At Team Gilbert, we hire outcome-oriented problem-solvers who love what they do! Here are some position requirements:

• Current national fitness certifications are required

• One year of formal fitness teaching experience

• Be able to develop and implement age appropriate fitness classes

• Skilled and passionate about teaching in a structured, fun recreation environment

• Minimum of an 8-12 week teaching commitment. This can be on ongoing positiondepending upon availability and facility needs.

• Current CPR and First Aid certification are preferred, but not required

• Age requirement:Must be18+ years

This position is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.
