We Are Seeking
Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a Recreation Coordinator Special Events who is innovative, driven, and passionate about serving the community.
The Recreation Coordinator Special Events will oversee the implementation and execution of planned programs and activities; work with partner organizations to ensure continuity of operations; ensure adherence to operational and safety policies and procedures; evaluate programs and assess effectiveness; and recommend and/or implement changes to improve and optimize programs; respond to and resolve complaints. They will also market and promote programs and events; prepare and oversee the development of brochures, flyers, invitations, and other communications and marketing materials; provide program information to external websites, media venues, and community groups. This position maintains a safe environment through regular monitoring of equipment and staff training; report safety concerns and respond to patrons and staff safety concerns as well as other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in recreation management, public administration, business or a closely related field
Two years of experience planning and implementing recreation or membership programs
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
CPR, AED and First Aid Certification
Valid Arizona Driver License
This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt ineligible for overtime compensation. About You
The ideal candidate for this position is great at planning, implementing, maintaining and evaluating programs and events. They have skills that are close to second nature in conflict resolution and are natural at customer service. The Recreation Coordinator position requires excellent communication skills that include both written and verbal.
