Duties

Summary

Fort Drum's Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Division is a comprehensive network of quality support and leisure services that enhances the lives of Soldiers, Civilians, Families, military retirees and other eligible participants. The their vision is to be the driving force for programs and services that provide the foundation for the Army's home by increasing Soldier and Family resiliency, restoring balance, enhancing recruitment, readiness and retention for Soldiers and Families.
Responsibilities

Directs the operation of the pool and the work of assigned lifeguards.
Ensures the safe operation of the pool, it's filtration system, water balance, pool chemistry and performs water test.
Ensures that safety rules are followed.
Responsible for teaching aquatic swimming and water survival training according to TC 21-21.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess all of the following:
American Red Cross "Lifeguard" certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification
American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer" (CPR-Pro) certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates (CPR)Certification.
American Red Cross "Automated External Defibrillator" (AED) certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates AED certification. CERTIFICATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION

Ensures that training courses address all levels of employee. Assists in the design and development of technical training programs and curriculums, both on-site and on-line, for employees on various software and/or hardware applications and systems. * Researches and assists in writing technical and user manuals to support training.
