Position Title Recreation Aide Department Facilities Services Department Summary
The Facilities Services Department is responsible for care and maintenance of Facilities on campus. The Facilities Department is also responsible for operating and maintaining the University motor pool. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for monitoring everyone that uses the Wilson Complex from students to community member. Checking in all persons who enter the Wilson Complex. Student employee's will also be responsible for setting up for games and special events.
General Job Description
Job description may include routine, varied, and moderately complex duties involving a moderate degree of responsibility and judgment. May require previous training or equivalent experience. May direct or coordinate activities of other student employees.
Skills and/or Duties:
Routine data entry
Answering phones; greeting customers; taking messages
Scanning and making copies
Training new hires
Managing schedules
Providing support to students (tutors, peer mentors, orientation leaders)
Conduct presentations
Managing confidential information
Maintain regular attendance
Perform other job duties as assigned
Specific Duties
Routine data entry; Answering phones; Making copies; Greeting customers; Taking messages; Managing confidential information; Maintain regular attendance; and, Perform other job duties as assigned. Checking student issued ID's and community members ID's. Walking around making sure doors are locked and secured. Monitoring all students and community members who enter Wilson Complex. Ability to use first responders medical attention. (CPR certified, AED certified.)
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
College student at NMHU enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
Preferred Qualifications
CPR Certified.
Must be willing to work at 7am (Opening) Thru 9pm (Closing)
Physical Demands
Hourly Rate $12.00/ Hour Preferred Work Schedule Monday
