Bright Futures is a youth-centered, family-focused residential substance abuse treatment program for adolescent males in Methuen, Massachusetts. The program teaches youth the skills necessary to maintain drug-free, pro-social lifestyles. Program participants follow a structured weekly schedule consisting of individual and family counseling, recovery-focused group meetings, life skills training, academic instruction and recreational activities.

The Recovery Specialist III maintains primary responsibility for the safety and security of residents and staff on the assigned shift; ensures that behavior management protocols are applied consistently; oversees Recovery Specialist (RS) I and Recovery Specialist (RS) II personnel; maintains the orderliness of the program milieu by ensuring adherence to structure and schedules. This position may be required to work mandatory overtime to meet program needs.

Pay: $17.00/hr. Spectrum offers comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision/disability insurances, paid time off, and 401k with company contribution.

Qualifications:

  • Two to four years or equivalent experience with at-risk youth preferred

  • Ability to assess a situation independently and deal with youth emergency and crisis situations

  • Maturity and problem solving skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively are essential qualities of the position.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Independent judgment, professional education, and National certification required. Must be qualified under CLIA as "Testing Personnel" (sec 493.1489) High Complexity. Responsibilities * Performs tasks, duties and testing according to established laboratory procedures and protocols. * Performs capillary punctures and venous draws as appropriate for patient requiring the procedure. * Processes specimens utilizing established laboratory protocols and technical knowledge. * Validates and reports results of tests performed. * Performs and documents quality control, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting activities ensuring proper functioning of instrument and reagents. * Calibrates and maintains instrument according to established protocol / manufacturer recommendation. * Capable of identifying and correcting problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results. * Maintains /stores records as required by State of Mass / CLIA. * Participates in proficiency testing program approved by inspecting agencies. * Orders lab supplies and assure that inventory is up to date. * Processes specimens for reference labs according to reference lab protocol/requirements. * Follows established safety practices when collecting and processing specimens. * Assists with orientation and training of new employees. * Performs other duties as required. * Demonstrates respect and works effectively as part of DFCCC team to ensure a professional and courteous environment. Qualifications MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: * Qualified as "Testing Personnel" (sec 493.1489) CLIA regulation. * Completion of an approved 2 year program in medical laboratory technology * ASCP, HHS, HEW or NCA medical technician lab certification.
