Our Servicing, Collections, and Recovery team is seeking a fast learning & hard-working Agency Recovery Analyst to support Recoveries and Agency Performance Management. Birds-eye view of the role:

  • Work with third party vendors to ensure timely files transfers (e.g., new placements, acknowledgements, close and return confirmation)

  • Monitor recovery and bankruptcy activity from a number of external partners

  • Capture and track borrower payment activity (e.g. remittances, contingency fees)

  • Manage dashboards, management reports, and forecasts

  • Communicate with our vendors, over email and on the phone, as needed to support the recoveries process

  • Ensure all new alerts/developments are queued in our task log and addressed in a timely manner

  • Maintain trackers (e.g., Bankruptcy, recoveries, placements)

  • Run Pacer searches

  • Participate in broader projects as assigned by management

  • Ensure all new alerts/developments are queued in our task log (CRM system) and addressed in a timely manner

  • Navigate our systems to put together placement packages

Our ideal teammate has:

  • Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.)

  • Ability to review and understand income & expenses sheets, financial statements

  • Very strong organizational and time management skills

Bonus Points for:

  • 2-4 years of total work experience in a financial and/or financial operations capacity

  • Experience in vendor management, specifically vendor performance management using KPIs

  • Knowledge of FDCPA, UCC filings and understanding of commercial collections

  • Demonstrated expertise with financial statements and conducting financial analyses

  • Willingness to dive in and build something without an instruction sheet

This position requires observation, communication and intervention skills with students, parents, teachers and other members of 5280 team. Recovery Coaches assist both within and outside the classroom, and are primary leaders of Intentional Community each morning. Coaches are asked to commit for one school year and are paid hourly ranging from $14-$19/hour depending on experience.
