The EPA Information Management Center Services IV contract, ASRC Federal Mission Services, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Records Information Manager 3 that will support our nationwide contract to provide records management support to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Narragansett, Rhode Island, for a period up to one year. Duties include the use of a records management system (database) for search, retrieval, and data entry, applying records retention schedules to files for the purposes of retention, archiving and disposition. Preparing and shipping large batches of records to off-site storage, maintain daily activity statistics, and produce monthly activity reports. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working independently.
The RIM3 performs technical duties as required including, but not limited to, records information services; docket management services; development of procedures; collection and inventory management; organization and classification; indexing and abstracting; training EPA staff in records, records centers, dockets, docket centers, and other information services procedures; database development (using Agency-approved off the shelf software) and utilization, such as use of SIMPLE.
Three years records management experience, including filing paper and electronic records, entering data into records management systems, preparing records for disposition or retiring, and usage of records retention schedules.
BA/BS strongly preferred.
Customer service skills, and strong organizational skills with attention to detail required.
Experience with MS Office
Ability to work independently, to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, to prioritize and manage multiple on-going projects, to quickly adapt to change, and to meet deadlines.
Physical requirements include: full range of arm motion, including lifting above the head, ability to bend, stoop and kneel, ability to routinely lift and carry 40 lbs. in weight, to push or pull 200 lbs. on carts, to push or pull 1200 lbs. via pallet jack, ability to use step ladders to reach materials on upper shelves. Candidate should also be comfortable sitting at computer workstation for long periods of time.
