Wylander Solutions, a recruiting company focused within the disaster restoration industry, is recruiting a Reconstruction Project Manager for McMahon Services & Construction in Grayslake, IL. McMahon Services is a locally owned and operated, 24-7 full-service insurance restoration contractor with a reputation second to none. They have been successfully serving the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin areas since 1954. They provide homeowners, business owners, and property managers with flood and fire restoration, mold remediation, roofing, and reconstruction services.

The Reconstruction Project Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the project cycle for restoration projects by providing direction and coordination of all field activities related to the installation teams and any coordinated subcontracts; managing the project schedule throughout the project lifecycle; and securing any unique materials, permits and equipment required to complete the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute reconstruction projects to completion
  • Work with Estimators to review and oversee job estimates
  • Determine, organize and manage technicians, subcontractors and tradesmen
  • Coordinate estimates from subcontractors
  • Maintain strategic relationships with vendors and subcontractors
  • Maintain efficient and accurate flow of production paperwork
  • Order project materials and coordinate delivery to job site
  • Ensure and monitor materials usage within budget and scope
  • Exceed profitability targets on managed projects
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and all parties involved, including third party owners, building engineers, property managers and tenants
  • Perform property inspections and complete reports

Requirements:

  • 2+ years relevant experience within the restoration/ construction industry
  • Strong management experience
  • Experience with financial reports, budgeting, and managing profitability
  • Must be adept with technology to learn company systems and software
  • Experience with Xactimate software is a plus
  • Adequate math skills
  • Possess exceptional organizational and planning skills (detail-oriented person)
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems independently
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, responsible and accountable
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass a background check and have a clean driving record

The Project Coordinator provides support to the Estimators and Project Managers.
