Reclaim Operator 7Pm-7Am

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

Warehouse:

• Ability to identify PVC and non PVC material and stage for production.

• Inform Supervisor or Crew leader of safety, mechanical, or operational problems.

• Load and check blender samples and adjust for hardness as needed.

• Review receiving papers on incoming trucks and follow proper procedures for receiving material.

• Unload, inspect, QC, and inventory incoming recycled PVC raw materials.

Grinder:

• Operate all reclaim grinding and auxiliary equipment and demonstrate a general understanding of the grinding portion of the process.

• Display ability to complete the General Functions of Warehouse.

• Assist in troubleshooting and operational decisions as to maintain production levels consistent with the goals of the department.

• Check blender samples as required.

Unit Operator:

• Display ability to complete the General Functions of Warehouse and Grinder

• Operate the Gala Pelletizer System, extruders, and auxiliary equipment as assigned.

• Maintain production of quality material. Inform Supervisor or Crew leader of any off quality material that is being produced.

• Assist in trouble shooting unit problems.

• Follow proper procedures when setting up equipment and screens for filtration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate the equipment assigned.

• Keep assigned work area clean.

• Maintain quality standards.

• Document actions completely and accurately as required on receiving, QC, and assigned paperwork.

• Must be able to operate a fork truck.

• Must have a valid driver's license.

• Other work as assigned by supervision.

SKILL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Must have basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

• Work and communicate well with others.

• All communications must be in English.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

• Body agility to enable bending, stooping, and lifting of parts and materials up to 60 pounds. Body strength and stamina to perform those duties at least three times per hour.

• Tolerate summer heats of 15 to 20 degrees above outside temperatures.

• Must be able to load material weighing 5 to 50 pounds into a blender at a rate of 60 times per shift.
