Your role with the company:

One of Related's affordable housing apartment communities is seeking a Section 8 Recertification Coordinator to join their team. This individual needs to have an eye for detail and the ability to operate on a deadline driven schedule. The ideal candidate would possess strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Complete recertifications for ACC and Non-ACC units in a timely fashion

  • Interview residents to complete interims, recertifications, etc

  • Process 3rd party verifications

  • Compose and distribute correspondence to residents

  • Conduct screening for prospective residents

  • Answer all leasing questions

  • Update wait-list

  • Maintain resident files

  • Ensures compliance with all HUD, IHDA, Tax Credit and/or other regulatory requirements related to the property's funding sources

  • Maintains re-certification schedule.

  • Processes notices to residents 120 days prior to anniversary move-in date.

  • Completes interviews with residents, completing re-certification forms completely and accurately.

  • Prepare lease for resident and obtain signature on lease and all back up documentation.


Background profile/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years' experience with demonstrated leasing or comparable experience

  • Ability to create, compose and edit written materials

  • Polished interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in conjunction with Company managers, customers, and associates.

  • Ability to effectively present information to prospective or current residents

  • Knowledge of LIHTC/Section 8

  • Ability to handle high call volume from current and prospective residents

  • Must have knowledge of Tax Credit policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of basic accounting/bookkeeping practices; office practices and procedures; filing and maintenance of fiscal records

  • Ability to complete and apply all of the provided leasing, compliance and applications processing training.

  • Must be capable of overseeing multiple functions simultaneously, with a keen sense of prioritizing

Headquartered in the Historic Flood Building in downtown San Francisco, Wellspace provides a variety of therapy, personal coaching, nutrition, and health and wellness services to adolescent, adult, and corporate clients. We are currently seeking a part-time Client Coordinator who demonstrates a strong desire to help others, provide top-quality customer service, and who can support our team of wellness practitioners.</p><p>The Client Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of our Client Experience Manager. Essential duties will include answering incoming phone calls and emails from new and existing clients, scheduling appointments, data tracking, and general office management duties. The position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working both independently and as a part of a team. The candidate must also be able to provide excellent customer service and speak with clients about sensitive issues in both a compassionate and professional manner.<br></p><p><em>This is a great opportunity for anyone with an interest in psychology, nutrition, or personal coaching as you will be joining our weekly consultation groups and will become an integral part of an intimate and thriving health care business.</em><br></p><p>Find out more about our practice here: <a href="" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external"></a><br></p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: </strong><br></p><ul> <li>Provide excellent customer service for new and existing clients.</li> <li>Process referrals and respond to client calls and emails in a timely manner. </li> <li>Speak with potential new clients - answering questions and assessing client's presenting needs, challenges and goals for treatment. </li> <li>Assign new clients to Wellspace practitioners and schedule consultation appointments. </li> <li>Enter sensitive client data into electronic medical records system. </li> <li>Track company and client data. </li> <li>Scan, file and shred documents, order office supplies, provide general office upkeep and maintenance. </li> <li>Assist with client billing, insurance related questions, and superbills. </li> <li>Others duties as assigned.<br> </li> </ul><p><strong>HOURS: </strong>3 days a week / 8 hours a day. Potential for full-time hours in July-August 2020.<br></p><p>Candidate must have the ability to come into our downtown office at least two days a week (including Tuesdays). Work may be performed remotely one day per week following probationary period.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul> <li>Associates or Bachelors degree</li> <li>At least 1-2+ years working in an administrative capacity and answering phones.</li> <li>Excellent customer service and active listening skills. - ability to communicate with clients in a friendly, professional, nonjudgmental, and effective manner.</li> <li>Ability to exercise good judgment and professional behavior, discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity in all communication.</li> <li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
