I. Job Summary
Operates telephone switchboard and routes calls to the appropriate person or location.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Greets vendors, customers, job applicants, and other visitors, and ensures that they are escorted to the proper office.
May perform incidental typing and routine clerical work as assigned.
Utilizes sufficient knowledge of organization's business in order to direct caller to their destination.
Records caller name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon. Answers all inquiries as necessary.
Obtains caller's name and arranges for appointment with person called upon.
Calls employees to the telephone and/or routes calls to the appropriate individual extensions.
May issue visitor's pass and/or parking validation.
Keeps record of telephone calls received.
May perform a variety of routine typing and clerical duties as necessary.

Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
