Job Summary:

Summary:

The Receptionist is a service oriented role as the face of the Finish Line / JD US Customer Central corporate office responsible for fielding all incoming calls, greeting guests, and directing them to the appropriate parties by performing the following duties:

  • Answers all incoming phone calls to the switchboard and direct to the appropriate person.

  • Greets all visitors.

  • Maintains visitor registration.

  • Gives temporary door passes and elevator passes.

  • Directs applicants to the right location.

  • Assembles visitor badges.

  • Directs vendors to conference rooms.

  • Assists visitors with directions and transportation.

  • Maintains records for reference purposes of employee contact information.

  • Maintaining lost and found box.

  • Sends office informational communications.

  • Communicates with vending machine company regarding service issues.

  • Ability to consistently work Monday

  • Friday from 8:00 a.m.

  • 5:00 p.m.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent and 2 or more years related experience in a fast-paced receptionist or office management role. Proficient in Google Suite or Microsoft Office equivalents, especially calendar and email.

Communication Skills:

Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of peers, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Decision Making/Problem Solving

Skills:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exits. Ability to interpret and utilize a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form with little direction given.

Computer Skills:

Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel and an email system.

You will welcome guests and remote employees who visit our facility. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. In addition to the aforementioned, duties will include periodically offering administrative support to members of the organization. To excel in this customer service focused position, you should have a pleasant demeanor and personality. Successful candidates will be able to complete a variety of tasks, including handling responsibilities in a timely and effective manner, and assisting the management staff with streamlining office operations. Therefore, multitasking and stress management skills are essential. This position reports directly to the Executive Administrative Assistant. The incumbent will work with office personnel, sales representatives, customer service staff, and customers. There are no direct reports to this position. Key Result Area: * Phone Coverage 50%; Administrative/Office Support 30%; Customer Service 20%.
