The Reception Supervisor is responsible for overall front office activities including the reception area, mail, patient check-in, visitors, and other public check-in. The position is also responsible for directing and coordinating Reception and related activities, including developing and supervising programs for the maximum utilization of services.::
Answers and routes all incoming phone calls.
Begins all patient and visitor check-ins.
Manages the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image.
Supervises and coordinates overall administrative activities for the Reception department.
Manages the day-to-day operations of the facility (such as recycling, changing light bulbs, heat problems, water problems, general repairs in the department, cube problems, etc.)
Participates as needed in special department projects.
3 - 5 years of multi-line switchboard experience required
Experience in healthcare/hospital reception preferred
Previous staff management required
