Job Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, Receptionist is responsible for performing a variety of general administrative support duties associated with the patient intake process and performs routine duties within the clinic.

Additional responsibilities for this health care role include:

  • Perform patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.

  • Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.

  • Schedule appointments according to office guideline.

  • Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays (TOS) and deductible amounts.

  • Copy/scan patient access related hardcopy materials (e.g. ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record.

  • Prepare charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete.

  • Conduct all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments and scheduling follow-up appointments.

  • Perform duties involving record filing and retrieval and assisting with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records.

  • Confirm next day appointments and alerts patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment.

  • Follow up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and send out the appropriate communications.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

One year of healthcare experience preferred

VIEW JOBS 11/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-12T00:00 POSITION PURPOSE: This position contributes to themission of CHI Health by assuring that the mental health needs of those in thecommunities we service are provided for in an efficient and effectivemanner. The Independent Mental Health Therapist is primarily responsiblefor providing quality psychotherapeutic services to a wide variety ofpatients. Essential requirements include providing diagnosticassessments, treatment planning and psychotherapy. The Independent mentalhealth therapist is expected to work in a collaborative manner with othermembers of the Behavioral System of Care. Services provided will bereviewed in clinical supervision. Record keeping will be in compliancewith the department's policies and procedures. Therapists are expected tocomply with CHI Health policies and procedures. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Evaluates and assesses the bio-psycho-social needs of patients. * Assists in determining the most appropriate level of care for the patient, and makes appropriate referrals when indicated. * Develops comprehensive treatment plans in accordance with policy and procedures. * Provides supervision to clinical staff as needed. * Assists in maintaining currency of patient demographics and insurance information as necessary. * Completes assessment documentation within 24 hours of assessment. * Documentation reflects progress toward goals as established in the treatment plan. * Actively participates in clinical and peer supervision to ensure quality of care and professional performance standards. * Utilize expertise to assist in the development and implementation of policy and procedures and identifies opportunities for staff development. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience Prefer three years of post-license experience in a mentalhealth/addiction recovery or related field. Education/Licensure A minimum of a Masters degree from an accredited educationalinstitution in Counseling, Social Work, Nursing or other related behavioralhealth field is required. Must possess LIMHP and LADC in Nebraska(PLADC will be considered). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities * Must possess strong knowledge ofmental health and chemical dependency; knowledge of the current Diagnostic andStatistical Manual criteria and appropriate treatment planning for the variousdiagnostic categories; ability to determine appropriate level of care andtriage patients accordingly; basic knowledge of managed care/EAP services andrequirements; ability to process and complete charting tasks in a timelymanner; ability to explain psychiatric concepts and discuss therapeuticinterventions to other professionals for training and supervision purposes;knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professionalstandards; strong knowledge of the principles of growth and developmental needsacross the lifespan; good communication skills (verbal and written);demonstrates personal traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation;professionalism; trust; integrity and places a high value on treating otherswith dignity and respect.
