Information Technology invites applications for a Receptionist (Administrative Associate I) to provide administrative support to the Information Technology Budget Analyst and Chief Information Officer.

This position will manage the IT Administration front desk; acting as point of contact for IT Administration by answering department front desk phone; create and edit departmental correspondence; perform transactional level duties such as Procard and bill payment; manage Chief Information Officers meeting calendar; perform clerical duties such as filing and scanning; manage departmental electronic files; manage departmental travel forms; and place department supply orders.

This position requires incumbent to develop a working knowledge of Procard, Banner, GrizMart, UM Box.

  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, initiative, judgment, independent thought and action, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to use standard office equipment including copiers, fax machine, ten-key adding machine, multi-line phone system.

Minimum Required Experience

  • High school diploma (or equivalency) in addition to one (1) year of closely related experience; or any combination of experience and education that provides the competencies necessary to successfully discharge the duties and responsibilities assigned to the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a higher education setting is preferred, but not required.

  • Familiarity with University of Montana policies and procedures is preferred, but not required.

  • Knowledge of University programs such as Banner, Procard, GrizMart, and UM Box is preferred, but not required.

Position Details

Position Title: Receptionist (Administrative Associate I)

Position Number: new

Department: Information Technology

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year.

Salary: $11.425/hr Current employee's rate of pay for this position will be determined by the staff compensation plan and may be different from the posted salary. For questions and details regarding the staff compensation plan, email the Compensation Department.

Union Affiliation: Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE)

Probationary Period: Six months minimum

VIEW JOBS 4/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-18T00:00 About the Role DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Information Security Analyst position is responsible for the continuous monitoring of alert queues, triage of security alerts as well as monitoring the health of security sensors and endpoints. The Information Security Analyst is the initial incident responder for corrective action on security alerts coming from the SIEM. Should an escalation of incident response activates be deemed necessary they will collect data and context necessary and escalate the incident to the Senior Information Security Analyst. The Information Security Analyst will work with other departmental staff on how to improve SIEM alerts and make initial incident response activities more streamlined. This position will also do other duties as assigned and reports to the Information Security Manager. Monitoring health of security sensors and endpoints, alert queue, and will triage security alerts. identifies gaps in data while advising department staff and management on the analysis of data in the security information and event management (SIEM) so that decisions can be made to enhance security controls in our environment. Initial Incident Response using the SANS stages of incident response (Preparation, Identification, Containment, Eradication, Recovery, Lessons Learned) while keeping management aware of Incident status. Escalating incidents to Senior Information Security Analyst when appropriate. Maintains knowledge of the latest intelligence and attack methodologies, as well as, on our internal detective and preventative controls to minimize risks associated with security breaches.Mentoring organization employees on the concepts and needs of a security conscience culture, and promoting high levels of security knowledge or awareness. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date. About You QUALIFICATIONS: 4+ years experience working in IT, with 2+ years of experience in security technologies (i.e. Antivirus, Web Filtering, Access Controls Lists, Firewalls, Email Filtering, etc.).Working knowledge of security technologies (i.e. Antivirus, Web Filtering, Access Controls Lists, Firewalls, Email Filtering, etc.).Working knowledge in Security Incident Response. Associates Degree in Information Technology (preferably with classes taken in Information Assurance or Information Security) or combination of education and experience is required.Entry level information security certification (Security + or equivalent) is required. Mid (SANS GIAC or equivalent) and/or high level (CISSP or equivalent) certifications are preferred.
