Alaska Regional is hiring an Administrative Receptionist!

The Administrative Receptionist will provide secretarial support in the completion of formal reports, correspondence, statistical reports, as well as other support functions. Acts as initial contact person for Administration with patients, physicians, Board members, employees and all other visitors and is directly responsible to and receives assignments from appropriate administrator. Person should be able to work well under pressure and be flexible in the prioritizing and reprioritizing of tasks.

  • Greet all visitors to Administration and assist them with their needs

  • Answer the main phone for hospital administration in a professional manner and route the calls appropriately

  • Sorting and distributing mail

  • Stock drinks and food items in the breakroom as needed

  • Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks including copying, faxing, taking notes, etc.

  • Order office supplies as requested

  • Performs scheduling tasks including calendar coordination, reserve conference rooms and tele-conference services, and food catering.

  • Manages the EMTALA call schedules on a monthly basis and coordinates all call schedule changes in a timely manner.

  • Processes travel for employees approved for travel and collects and reconciles reimbursement requests for payments.

  • Helping maintain tracker badges for new hires in the clinical departments

  • Performing ad-hoc administrative duties

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED or work experience in lieu of degree required

  • Experience: Prior clerical experience preferred
