  • Starting salary range, determined by formula accounting for years of experience: $35,815.00 (base rate) to $44,768.00 (10 years of experience performing this same job or job with primarily the same duties.)

Receptionist

A day in the life of a Receptionist begins promptly at 8:00 AM, in-person at our Support Center office building. Your day will include answering all phone calls to our main line between 8:00 AM and 3:15 PM and either assisting callers or transferring them to the appropriate staff member. You will use a laptop and Bluetooth headset to manage all calls through our Zoom Phone system. During these hours, you will also greet and direct visitors, notify staff of appointments, monitor conference room activity, accept deliveries, distribute mail, and keep the lobby in good order. You will maintain logs of visitors and callers to track trends. Between calls and visitors, you will assist with various administrative tasks for the Community Relations team, such as maintaining volunteer signups using shared Excel files, sorting materials for events, entering data, and daily monitoring shared mailboxes.

Job Duties (Summary):

  • Reports to an agency location every weekday 8:00 am to 315 pm, with the exception of agency observed holidays, approved leave, etc. Manages multiple line phone system (answers and forwards incoming phone calls), determines caller needs and connects them with appropriate resources, greets and welcomes guests in a courteous and professional manner, notifies staff of appointments, reserves conference rooms and verifies daily meetings (via Meetings intranet application), maintains security by following procedures and controlling access (verifying visitor appointments, monitoring visitor logbook etc.), accepts deliveries and packages, sorts and distributes mail.

  • Performs various clerical duties in support of the Community Relations Team such as organizing supplies for events, sorting publications, and updating website or newsletter content.

  • Logs and tracks relevant metrics on inquiries received; Regularly promotes satisfaction surveys to callers.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.

  • Six (6) months experience in routine clerical and administrative functions.

  • Must be able to pass criminal background checks and various abuser registry checks

On site at the HCDDS Support Center located at: 1520 Madison Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
