Key Responsibilities

At this time, we are seeking a Receptionist to join our team!


  • Monitors all incoming public traffic and assists with job applicants.

  • Receives guests and other in a courteous, polite and warm manner.

  • Respond to the needs of residents, families and visitors by providing immediate assistance.

  • Appropriately and accurately prepares and distributes routine correspondence.

  • May provide clerical and administrative support to the various departments.

  • Receive and follow reception schedule/instructions from supervisor and as outlined in established policies and procedures.

  • Operate paging/telephone system as required.

  • Answer telephone, determine nature of call and relay information or route call as appropriate.


  • Ability to answer the telephone, take detailed messages, respond to verbal inquiries, take direction from different sources, handle multiple tasks and be organized in a fast paced environment. Typing of 30-40 wpm may be required if secretarial support is needed at the community.

  • Must enjoy working with the elderly and able to accept constructive criticism. Ability to interact with residents who are highly susceptible to common illness without posing additional health risks and must maintain a professional appearance.

  • Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in general office procedures.

  • Strong organizational skills; oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to project a professional image.

This position is responsible for answering incoming calls, directing them to appropriate associates, mail distribution and maintaining security by following procedures; issuing visitor access cards as appropriate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Answer incoming telephone calls, transfer to appropriate parties or take messages correctly. * Greet visitors, inform staff of their arrival, and may be responsible for directing or escorting them to specific destinations. * Operate office equipment: computer terminal, fax machine, copy machine, postage meter, and multi-line telephone. * Open and sort incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail. * May be responsible for maintaining written log of staff in and out status. * May prepare memos, correspondence, presentations or other documents. * May be responsible for maintaining proper care of equipment, reporting problems and contacting appropriate service personnel. * May perform data entry and posting of payments. * May schedule space or equipment for special programs and prepare lists of participants * Requires regular and consistence attendance. * Comply with all safety rules and regulations during work hours in conjunction with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). * Additional duties as required. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: * Ability to interface well with all departments within the company. * Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and external contacts to the organization. * Possess a moderate degree of proficiency with Microsoft applications * Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. * Effective organizational skills required.
