Job Overview:

McDermott has an immediate contract/full time opening for a receptionist for one of our facilities located in west Houston.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Answer phones

  • Greet visitors and log visitors into office

  • Address group email requests promptly

  • Submit employee HVAC calls, overtime air requests, light requests, badge cancellation, bathroom requests, etc. through the online Property management program called IMPAK

  • Record/submit drink requests for monthly billing

  • Record Daily list in Idocs and send out Daily List email at 4PM to group email address labeled Westchase Daily List.

  • Update Master list and daily list as needed; send Master list to HR every 2 weeks- next submission on August 31st

  • Use office to update floor plans, visitor queue, move requests and reports

  • Make badges, provide visitor badges as needed, and send badge cancellation requests to property management

  • Record parking in Idocs and provide parking forms to property management

  • Compare headcount report to master list and email HR with any discrepancies

  • Help update contact list in Idocs

  • Help with building orientation

  • Send email notifications for moves and transfers to employees. Record information in the Daily list and in the master list. Update move locations for employees in the master list.

  • Send fitness center requests to property management and upload completed forms in Idocs

  • Make nameplates for new employees, visitors, and transfers

  • Help with key requests

  • Occasionally make conference room reservations

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a receptionist.

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate well verbally in English.

  • Excellent attitude and people's skills.
