This position is for a Receptionist at our Central Administration Building for the 2024-25school year.
It is a 236 work calendar / Paygrade 4

Reports to: Director of Communications
Primary Purpose:
Provide reception, clerical assistance, Bearcat store purchasing and POS activities for the efficient operation of the central administration office and support the Director of Communications with clerical/secretarial functions.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient keyboarding skills
Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail
Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Ability to use personal computer and software for word processing, develop spreadsheets and databases; using Microsoft and Google applications.
Customer service focused
Experience:
Preferred one year clerical experience in educational or school communicationssetting and/or three years clerical experience in office setting.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Reception and Phones
1.Maintain a positive and helpful attitude as the main point of contact for the Aledo ISD.
2.Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
3.Greet and direct visitors to central administration offices.
4.Assist public, staff, and students as needed.
5.Assist parents with navigation of website and troubleshoot other issues.
For Bearcat Store:
6.Completion of all duties required to maintain appropriate inventory throughout the year.
7.Completion of all duties required to purchase, inventory, and sell items throughout the year.
8.Manage Bearcat Store sales to the general public and balance Point Of Sale system.
9.Perform routine bookkeeping tasks.
For Communications Department:
Support director of communications with clerical/secretarial duties, including but not limited to budgeting, submitting invoices and POs, and placing orders for communications projects and events.
Assist with Public Information Request calendar and responses.
Maintain districtwide calendar.
Assist with organization of weekly, monthly and quarterly communications department newsletters and other districtwide communications.
Assist with communications and/or districtwide events, as needed
Other:
Responsible for updating monitor with daily schedules in the administration building.
Assist with preparation of materials for mailing.
Maintain confidentiality.
Follow security procedures for building.
Verify address eligibility for district enrollment when requested.
Assist with coordination of athletic season passes and ticket sales.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Working Conditions:
Tools/Equipment Used: Multi-line phone system; standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
