Summary:
Responsible for answering and directing incoming phone calls. Greets customers as they enter the lobby, dealership showroom, or service area.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Answers incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Takes accurate messages.

  • Directs calls to the appropriate department or person.

  • Greets customers as they enter the dealership showroom.

  • Directs customers to the appropriate department or person.

  • Maintains CSI at or above company standards.

  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area

  • Participates in required training

  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system

  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.

  • Demonstrates the Company's Core Values

  • Complies with Company policies and procedures

  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

  • Other duties as assigned

Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company

personnel.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and some holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office setting. Work includes frequent clerical and administrative responsibilities and interaction with customers, managers and employees.

The Assistant Store Manager contributes to Blackstone's success by leading a team of engaged store associates to create and maintain the Blackstone Experience for Guests. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supervising the workplace, being the Safety Leader in the store and ensuring the safety of staff, ensuring Guest satisfaction and safety, managing the store's sales performance, ensuring compliance with all ATF requirements, and sustaining brand equity. * Core Accountabilities: * Lead, manage, and hold team accountable (LMA) * Safety Leader * Hiring events * Onboarding & coaching logs * Scheduling * Day-to-day repairs & maintenance * Job Responsibilities: * Achieve high levels of sales performance and results by ensuring excellent Guest service practices and demonstrating a high degree of professionalism with Guests and the Team. * Monitor compliance with Blackstone's policies, such as safekeeping of funds and property, personnel practices, record-keeping procedures, and overall maintenance of the physical store. * Be the Safety Leader in the store, coach and manage accountability around safety, and ensure all safe firearm handling practices are followed. * Provide leadership to associates through completing the onboarding process and coaching logs. * Train, develop, and teach employees to perform our sales process on a consistent basis while on the sales floor. * Provide feedback through ongoing training, coaching, counseling, assessments, and setting challenging goals to improve associate performance through effective use of development plans. * Identify and assist in resolving issues that affect the store's service, efficiency, and productivity. * Ensure ATF compliance and strict adherence to all internal policies regarding the selling and handling of firearms. * Ensure OSHA & EPA requirements are followed and adhered to in relation to state and local regulations including compliance with lead safety and any other applicable compliance requirements. * Manage the gunsmithing department to ensure firearm work orders are completed in a timely and accurate manner with constant communication to Guests regarding resolution, repair, and pick-up. * Manage range rental firearm cleaning and maintenance program. * Responsible for safe counts & deposits. * Opening & closing the store; register counts, checklist completion, and locking & unlocking the store. * Assist with all staff responsibilities as daily business needs require.
