A client of ours in Poughkeepsie is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their growing team.
The Accounting Assistant will support all accounting operations by electronically scanning and filing documents and reconciling statements to keep the department on track. Recent accounting grads are encouraged to apply!
Job duties include:
Monitoring and reconciling bank balances
Electronic cash collections with proper documentation on the General Ledger
Ensuring payments are made on time and credited to the correct account
Communicating with banks and other internal departments to ensure all information is up to date
This is a full time, temp-to-hire opportunity. The client is offering a pay rate of $13-$15 per hour. If you are interested in this position, please apply!
To ensure the utmost success the Accounting Assistant should have:
Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
Proficient understanding of MS Excel and QuickBooks
Basic understanding of cash flow and accounting
Ability to work independently and with a team
Professional written and oral communication skills
Minimum of an Associates Degree in accounting required
