Position Description

The purpose of this position is to resolve all inventory discrepancies and process inaccuracies. This effort

contributes to successful inventory audits of the facility and achieving or exceeding performance targets.

The QA Team Member performs routine cycle counts of the inventory to ensure the system quantity and

physical quantity of product is correct. The team member is responsible for researching and reporting

inventory differences over a certain threshold to corporate and/or to the QA Coach. The QA Team

Member is also responsible for performing process audits of the entire facility. Results of these audits

alert and indicate if Operations Team Members are performing tasks incorrectly.

Team Members are responsible for receiving, processing, stocking, selecting, moving, and loading by hand or powered industrial equipment manufactured goods received by the distribution center in preparation for shipment to Lowe's retail stores.


Essential Functions and

Responsibilities:
  • Research inventory discrepancies and resolve (e.g., free astray product)

  • Report and contact Corporate if inventory gain or loss is over a certain threshold (holding account)

  • Resolve cancelled picks (product not picked for shipping that was allocated) in the system

  • Audit processes across the facility to ensure correct process is being utilized by Operations Team

Members; record inaccuracies and report to Operations Coach

  • Perform scheduled cycle count of product in the facility; perform recount of product when

inventory differences occur

  • Audit receiving packets daily/weekly to ensure all information is correct and there are no

discrepancies

Responsibilities:
  • Place and release location holds in the system (places product on hold so it cannot be picked for

shipping)

  • Learn new skills to assist in other QA areas

Job Requirements

Grasps and lifts by hand (floor to overhead) and carries heavy and/or bulky merchandise. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Uses and verifies accuracy via Laser Radio Terminal (LRT) to receive, process, stock, and select merchandise for shipment, and audit the quality of work performed within the distribution center. Operates distribution computers systems as required to efficiently control merchandise flow. Safely operates industrial lift trucks and other motorized and non-motorized equipment to unload trailers, transport, select, stock, and load heavy/large merchandise onto trailers for shipment to the retail stores.

Places/removes by hand selected merchandise onto/from conveyors, racks, pallets, and into/out of boxes as merchandise is processed. Loads and unloads trailers by hand, floor to ceiling. Meets safety, accuracy, attendance, and production standards for all assignments.

Observes incoming and outgoing merchandise for manufacturers defects and damage. Handles merchandise without damaging during processing. Maintains assigned work area free of debris and spills using standard cleaning supplies. Comply with performance criteria and standards of conduct as provided in applicable policies and procedures.
