Seeking individual to work with area manager and shift supervisors to review current practice and develop more complete SOP's and a training matrix to improve performance across the team. Standardizing best practices, meeting the company expectations for productivity, quality, and service, and optimizing team focus are the top line goals for this position. Hands on individual a must.
Must have previous experience leading shifts of 12-50 people (3-5 years on average)
Familiar with standard point systems, progressive discipline, performance management, and team building methodologies
Moderate Logistics experience with forklifts/batteries, order selection logic and WM programs, inventory flow management, transportation planning, dock management, and yard management.
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and 60 hours in 6 days per week + cold environment
Previous ERP experience (AS400)
Experience with culture change and lean manufacturing implementation (5S, KPI tracking, kaizen, Visual Management)
Experience with enforcing performance and quality standards (SOP documentation, training matrices, performance standards and periodic performance review)
Knowledgeable of OSHA standards and requirements (10-hour class a plus)
Forklift training certification a plus
Knowledgeable of FSMA requirements and solid Food Safety experience
