The hiring rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Receiving Storekeeper will work in conjunction with the Manager - Storeroom to provide excellent customer service to the students, staff, faculty, and vendors. This position is responsible for establishing all policies and procedures related to the storeroom, ensuring the accurate receipt, and storing of all items, overseeing the proper rotation and storage of all orders and assisting with product shorts upon delivery.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes standard operating procedures related to the storage and rotation of incoming products. Oversees and assists in placing food & beverage supplies in their proper storage
Determines any changes that need to be made for efficiency or effectiveness in storage areas. Reports all issues to the Manager, with root cause and provides solutions.
Ensures the proper receipt of all food & beverage deliveries for quantity (delivered vs. ordered) and quality (e., damaged boxes, spoiled produce, broken bottles, etc.) and enters deliveries into the relevant purchasing platform. Returns any damaged, outdated, expired products, etc. prior to signing for receipt of said products. Ensures credit has been issued for all returned products.
Ensures items are being weighed upon receipt and they meet educational specifications. Returns out of specification product(s) for credit and provides feedback to Buyers on the quality of items received from individual vendors.
Works with Storeroom Assistant Manager and Stock Specialists to ensure items stored or issued for requisitions are in compliance with Institute standards (i.e. not issuing dented cans, spoiled produce, broken glasses, stained linen, etc.).
Effectively manages any special-order items as per department procedure.
Informs the Storeroom Manager of any noted variance in quoted or contracted pricing.
Notifies all relevant parties of returned or shorted items.
Ensures that "request for credit or debit" or return procedures are adhered to and reflected on invoices.
Ensures that all products are stored and rotated using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method and following any established HAACP principles.
Ensures all liquor is secured in Beverage
Oversees the maintenance of a neat, and organized loading dock.
Ensures that all "out of stock" items are effectively communicated to the Buyer and the Chefs and/or students picking up the order.
Maintains knowledge of all product lines handled within the warehouse.
Greets and assists all customers to the receiving area in a professional, courteous, helpful, and friendly manner. Provides proficient and proactive customer service either in person or on the phone.
Assists in receiving Amazon, UPS, FedEx and DHL packages and scanning them into the proper software.
Completes all designated cleaning assignments and work to ensure the general safety and sanitation of the facility.
Assists in any routine and monthly inventories as required.
Any and all other duties as assigned.

Associates degree in Business, Hospitality or related field.
Food, beverage and non-food purchasing and/or distribution experience.
Graduate of an accredited culinary school.
Purchasing/inventory system experience with EATEC or similar system.
Familiarity with procedures to receive packages through 'Track It' System, when needed.

Basic computer skills including familiarity of Microsoft Office suite products, i.e. Word and Excel.
Skilled in the operation of standard warehouse equipment.
Intermediate level math proficiency.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholder
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be available to work overtime on nights and weekends based upon business needs.
Regular work requires a great deal of sitting, standing, lifting, bending and stretching.
Must be able to stand for eight (8) hours.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures hot and cold for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
Ability to lift and move up to one-hundred (100) pounds or more with assistance.
