Position Summary

Perform activities in support of receiving and distributing goods that have been delivered to the campus.

Principle Accountabilities & Deliverables

  • Receive shipments from freight carrier or shipper.

  • Perform visual inspection and receive items into Apprise.

  • Safeguard goods until the original purchaser can pick up goods or provide delivery instructions.

  • Assist purchasing and purchasers in resolving discrepancies as they arise. Answer and direct incoming calls and inquires as need

  • Bar code all capital items before releasing them to the purchaser.

  • Special Projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Education / Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required


  • Interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential.

  • Ability to provide flexible and adaptable work schedules.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to gain, understand and apply information related to the functions of all departments

  • Ability to operate a fork lift and lift objects up to 50lbs.

  • Knowledge of personal computer software applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.


  • Normal physical activity including movement, hearing, seeing and communication

Work Environment

  • Office environment

  • Regular business hours, occasional travel and overtime.

  • General technology as it relates to office administration.
