This position checks and counts a variety of incoming parts, materials and supplies to verify items and quantities shipped, and note damaged or defective items following standard procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Unload, receive and count items.

  • Verify incorrect, defective and short items to lead.

  • Deliver and store items received to designated location.

  • Complete scheduled daily tasks in a timely manner.

  • Complete weekly physical inventory county. Adjust digital inventory if necessary and notify supervisor.

  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.

  • Fill out paperwork adequately.

  • Report any issues that might arise.

  • Follows TSCO standards, policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

  • Ability to operate a powered industrial truck

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to do basic math, including decimals and percentages.

  • Intermediate reading and writing skills.

  • Must have strong attention to detail and good time management skills.

  • Must be able to visually identify product labeling.

  • Must have basic computer skills. SAP is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently, accurately and safely under pressure.

  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and safety guidelines.

Education and Experience Required

  • At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous mental and visual attention is required.

  • Requires constant alertness and attention to detail.

  • Work involves likelihood of irregularity of work schedule to meet customer demands.

  • Performing these duties will involve lifting, pulling, or pushing physical objects; standing, stooping and bending, walking and sitting for long periods of time.

  • Working in hot, cold, noisy work areas and being exposed to odors, fumes, and dust.

  • Wears Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.

  • Pushing, pulling, bending and lifting up to 75 pounds.

Job Overview Immediate opportunity available for a full-time, shipping & receiving clerk that has experience with parts and inventory for a heavy machinery manufacturer. LeTourneau Technologies is in business to sell and service LeTourneau Log Stackers and provide exceptional product support to the forestry industry. LeTourneau Technologies, owned by Komatsu Mining Corporation operates out of Troutdale, Oregon and has full service branches in Idaho, Washington and British Columbia. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have the following abilities and experience: * Grasp a working knowledge of the parts inventory. * Ensure all inventory is accounted for and counted correctly. * Effectively communicate with customers on their needs. * Receive incoming shipments and compare items to receiving documents. * Count items to ensure that the correct number have been received. * Look through work orders to determine order picking and pick orders. * Operate forklifts to load and unload heavy boxes. * Compare the amount and identification numbers of goods against orders. * Maintain files of shipping records. Education / Qualification * High school diploma or equivalent (GED). * Working knowledge of data entry. * Working knowledge of inventory control. * Verbal communication skills. * English preferred.
