Receiving Associate (Evansville)

Plumbers Supply Co, a family-owned company in business for over 100 years, has an immediate opportunity for a Receiving Associate to work with our Warehouse Team at our branch in Evansville. As a member of the Receiving team, you will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying contents are correct and not damaged, and stocking inventory in the appropriate place.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 1st Shift (with possible required overtime)(hrs can be subject to change).

Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review shipping manifests.

• Cross check inventory received with shipping manifest to ensure receipt of correct product and quantity.

• Report and resolve discrepancies. Keep necessary documentation per Standard Operating Procedure.

• Interpret packing slips; enter the correct information to acknowledge receipt of materials into the ERP system. Receive and enter data accurately into the computer as required.

• Sort and place inventory on racks, shelves or in bins as directed by the WMS System.

• Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of inventory in the WMS System.

• Move materials, load and unload trucks. Stage product as required.

• Helping team members maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment that is safe & accessible for salespeople, customer traffic and employees.

• Maneuvering heavy equipment using hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

• At Least 1 year of prior Warehouse Experience

• Experience with RF Scanners preferred

• Forklift Experience Required

• Customer Service Focused

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to Multi-Task

• Attentive to Detail

• Motivated to Train & Learn

• Stamina to Stand & Walk for entire shift

• Computer Proficient

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation. The candidate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to more than 75 lbs with assistance.

• Regularly push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, squat, bend, twist, grab and reach above the shoulders.

• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse
