JOB SUMMARY:
The Fork Truck Driver will operate a battery powered fork truck to move pallets from trailers to
the floor, scanning inventory, and ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Accurately interpret manifests, documentation, paperwork, and labels
Maintain familiarity with plant layout and pallet placement
Identify all cardboard components and stock locations
Perform routine maintenance safety checks on fork trucks
Identify and process damaged or flawed material in lieu of stocking
Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to identify wood species, finishes, and color variances
Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Valid driver's license
Required Physical Ability:
Prolonged periods of sitting and use of repetitive motions
Regularly lift and/or move up to 20lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lb
