Position Overview

Oversee and manage all functions relating to producing placing drawings and material cut list (bar list) for any assigned jobs. Prepare high quality, accurate, reinforcing steel placement drawings, through the interpretation of engineer's plans and specifications. Drawings will need to conform to industry and company standards to provide necessary information for productive fabrication and field placement. Work will be drawn with computer-aided design (CAD) systems such as RebarCAD and ASA Systems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produces rebar drawings that conform to industry and company standards for various structures.

  • Produces accurate and detailed lists of material for shop fabrication.

  • Assists with the research of detailing, fabrication and field problems.

  • Coordinates with customer and scheduling personnel to schedule material deliveries and placement.

  • Coordinates and account for any changes in our scope of work.

  • Maintains accurate records and documentation for each job.

  • Maintains a desirable work area.

  • Responsible for making sure outstanding service is taking place and all efforts are taken to satisfy customer needs at all levels, phone calls, meetings and job sites.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skill Requirements

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three years of previous detailing experience preferred.

  • Previous experience with RebarCAD, ASA Rebar Systems, or MicroStation preferred.

  • Experience and practical knowledge of rebar detailing per industry standards preferred.

  • Must meet CMC attendance standards.

  • Ability to interact with coworkers and customers in a positive manner, follow directions and work rules and accept constructive feedback required.

  • Strong mathematical skills are required.

  • Ability to communicate with customers, business leaders, and employees required.

  • Must demonstrate outstanding organization and multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to work overtime as necessary

Plan, document, implement and maintain system data backup procedures and practices including regular testing of backup media. * Monitor system and application performance; analysis, evaluate, recommend and implement performance tuning (optimization) strategies as well as capacity planning for growth or changes in business needs, and planning for life-cycle replacement of assets. * Analyze and recommend creation or changes to department procedures or policies to demonstrate and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards including Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Louisiana gaming laws/regulations, Internal Control documents and IT industry-standard "Best Practices." * Receive, record, resolve and follow up on end-user problems or system malfunctions; maintain records of problem reports, resolution and follow-up in the IT helpdesk software application. Work with other IT staff in first-level or second-level support of all systems and applications including AS/400 system; provide problem resolution and service for wide-ranging general IT support issues. * Demonstrate expertise in a variety of IT concepts, practices and procedures. Plan and accomplish goals relying on extensive experience and best judgment. Stay informed on new technologies with a view towards integrating them into the Company's IT strategies. * Provide consultation on complex projects as a top-level contributor / specialist. A large degree of creativity and latitude is required. * Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. * High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate or technical school degree in Computer Sciences is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 2-5 years of work related experience in Microsoft Windows Server operations and administration, with relevant technical certifications, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Microsoft certification is preferred. * 2 or more years of work related experience in Microsoft Active Directory administration as well as Microsoft Exchange Server administration is required. Microsoft certification is preferred. * 2 or more years of work related experience in supporting end-users of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access) is required. * Additional demonstrable knowledge or experience in other IT related areas is preferred, such as IBM iSeries/AS400 operations; Microsoft SQL Server; Cisco LAN/WAN administration; converged voice/data networks (VOIP). * Proficiency in Visual Basic, C++, Java, ASP, HTML and other development technologies is preferred. * Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
