Overview

Motivate is looking for a Driver/Rebalancer to operate a vehicle for the purposes of relocating bikes throughout the system. To that end, you will load and unload the vehicle with bikes, and dock/undock bikes at every station stop. Additionally, you will be responsible for the safe operation of vehicles and for basic ongoing maintenance, including reporting vehicle issues promptly to management. The Driver/Rebalancer will report to the Service Delivery management team.

About the Role

  • Follow safe work practices and help create a safe working environment

  • Operate a vehicle to move bikes around the system

  • Load/unload vehicles with bikes; dock/undock bikes at stations

  • Reboot stations, replace station batteries as necessary

  • Respond to station emergencies such as accidents for the purpose of cleaning up debris and delivering/replacing station components

  • Communicate with dispatch using provided phone/radio/GPS unit interface

  • Clean vehicles and perform minor vehicle maintenance

  • Perform pre/post trip inspections for every vehicle trip and fill out associated paperwork

  • Report vehicle issues/problems to management and dispatch

  • Adopt new procedures and seek out help/guidance from management if necessary

  • Maintain knowledge of the system to provide excellent customer service to current and potential customers in the field

  • Other duties as assigned

About you

  • You have a valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record

  • You have a strong knowledge of the cities geography and street layout

  • You can work off hours and/or weekends

  • You can effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors

  • You have a good sense of judgement and know how to maintain confidentiality

  • You take direction well and thrive in a team environment

  • You can lift up to 65 pounds and can bend and stand for long periods of time

  • You are open to others' ideas and are always willing to try new things

Job Summary The Investment Office (INV) is responsible for the investment and management of the Staff Retirement Plan (SRP) and Retired Staff Benefits Investment Account (RSBIA). SRP ($12.5 billion) and RSBIA ($3.0 billion) are currently structured as globally diversified portfolio across 7 asset classes (Global Equities, Emerging Market Equities, High Income, Real Assets, Enhanced Cash/Absolute Return, Alternative Investments, and Global Fixed Income). Investment Officer/Sr. Investment Officer assists in monitoring investment mandates; managing manager relationships; drafting notes and periodic reports for stakeholders; coordinating and executing investment operations; assessing risk contribution and performance measurement; and researching, analyzing, and formulating investment ideas or themes for the benefit of the Staff Retirement Plan (SRP) and Retired Staff Benefits Investment Account (RSBIA). Major Duties and Responsibilities 1.Draft and edit pithy investment proposal, investment termination, and sector review and analysis notes for the Investment Committee (IC) or other stakeholders according to Investment Offices rules and protocols. 2.Draft and edit annual performance report to the Pension Committee (PC) and Investment Committee (IC) business meeting minutes. 3.Conduct quarterly investment manager due diligence meetings and properly document findings. 4.Monitor and validate monthly investment manager performance, performance attribution, and risk contribution. 5.Monitor and validate manager compliance in respect of investment guidelines. 6.Formulate and negotiate investment management agreement (IMA) business, financial and operational terms (e.g., legal language concerning immunities and alternative dispute resolution, investment guidelines, and fee structures). 7.Manage and administer investment operations in respect of on-going investments (e.g., investment management agreement and side letter amendments, investment guideline updates and temporary exemptions, fee schedule updates, legal and tax status confirmation, capital call processing, rebalancing communication with managers, etc.). 8.Lead, manage, and/or contribute to strategic asset allocation (SAA) exercise, including validation of capital markets assumptions and benchmarks. Minimum Qualifications * A Master's degree in economics, business administration or financial analysis, or equivalent, plus 4 years of relevant professional experience is required.
