Services include brokerage; project management, opinions of value; lease administration; public property dispositions, legal document preparation; construction management; billing, collection, and accounting; and insurance compliance. We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented paralegal to fill a Real Estate Paralegal position focused on serving a large public transit agency client. The Real Estate Paralegal will be responsible for coordinating and managing document preparation, liaising with the client and outside legal counsel on various drafting and litigation matters, and generally supporting the Real Estate Counsel and assigned project staff on assigned tasks.
The Real Estate Paralegal will report directly to the Project Executive and Senior Counsel. The position will be based in our New York City office and be required to be in the office 4 days per week. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Review, proofread, and prepare internal memoranda and various documents for client's approval, including lease/license modifications, mutual termination agreements, letter agreements, termination notices, and other real estate documents. Calendar and track court deadlines for landlord/tenant, collections and other litigation matters. Organize and maintain electronic files on Sharepoint.
Assist with updating and maintaining tracking sheets and Yardi database. Attend client meetings and produce minutes as directed. Communicate and work with outside legal counsel on landlord/ tenant, collections, and other litigation matters.
Perform legal research using Internet resources. Other duties as assigned. Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on commercial real estate. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, prioritization, and interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency in Yardi is a plus.

Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000/year. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire.
Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process. The firm is the 1 overall HUD multifamily and healthcare lender by firm commitments, and a top 10 Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily real estate lender. For HUD's 2024 fiscal year ending September 30, 2024. Based upon combined firm commitments received by Greystone Funding Company LLC and Greystone Servicing Company LLC and excludes risk sharing and hospital loans.
