Job Description: Lead, Real Estate

Reporting to: Manager of Real Estate


  • Source Inspirato Real Estate home supply in several markets, which will change from time to time

  • Source new properties, largely through broker, owner and developer relationships, in existing Inspirato and new markets and evaluate incoming leads in targeted markets.

  • Nurture relationships with real estate brokers and encourage them to refer clients.

  • Work with analysts, leads and directors to manage an effective due diligence procedure for each targeted property and/or destination and flag issues. Evaluate operational issues and considerations in new destinations.

  • Manage or outsource underwriting for each potential transaction in order to determine the suitability of each transaction to overall company goals including physical asset condition, legal and relationship risk, service standards and economic viability.

  • Incorporate deal terms into lease agreements and work with investments and legal teams to incorporate landlords' desired revisions into legal agreements.

  • Work closely with sales, member care, and portfolio management teams to stay abreast of prospect and member demand for new locations and/or property types.

  • Manage transition of properties from real estate to portfolio management team, including participating in new home installations, furnishing, onsite team training, photo shoots, etc.

  • Assist marketing and underwriting teams with the preparation of all written, video and photographic marketing content for the website and other marketing materials.

  • Train sales, service and operations teams on new properties and destinations, as necessary.

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with real estate brokers, owners and landlords from an operational perspective.

  • Travel as necessary (expecting 25-50%) to target markets to identify homes and build relationships with local brokers and other sources of residential supply.

Required or Desired Skills:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Project Management & Execution Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring that all components of each task are properly presented, managed and reported.

  • Software Expertise Proven expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; proficiency with is desired

  • Communication Skills Must be able to communicate effectively and in a concise manner, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency or fluency in Spanish is a plus.

  • Adaptability - Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, adjust to changes in approach or method to best fit the situation, deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events, appreciate the opportunity to adjust and adapt with growing business, and generally exhibit a positive can-do attitude.

Candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or Resort and Hospitality Management.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working successfully in real estate or luxury hotel/resort sectors.

Weare looking for a transformational leader with broad category expertise, strongstrategic sourcing analytics and category management, process design andmanagement, combined with superior communication and influencing skills torapidly evolve WU's corporate real estate capabilities and day-to-day execution. This change-agent will lead a team of 4 senior managers andapproximately 20 professionals whose role is to develop and direct all aspectsof real estate portfolio management and operational effectiveness. Key focus will be onidentifying ongoing opportunities to improve processes, portfolio costs andfacility operating models within the ~1.4M square feet and ~$40M annual globalreal estate budget, considering evolving business demands, changing marketconditions and a geographically diverse and shifting employee base.
