What You'll Do: As our Real Estate Investment Manager, you will join FBL's Real Estate department as a member of our nationwide commercial lending platform.
Responsibilities include the evaluation and recommendation of individual investment opportunities, monitoring the performance of the assets in our portfolio, and establishing and maintaining relationships with the brokerage community within assigned territories. You'll be joining a team of five individuals, which offers exposure to a wide variety of responsibilities and projects. As our Real Estate Investment Manager, you will also have input on investment guidelines and procedures, correspondent relationships, and marketing and investment strategy specific to the commercial mortgage loan portfolio.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
College degree in finance or real estate required, MBA preferred.
5-10+ years real estate finance experience preferred.
Successful completion of CCIM or Certified Real Estate Investor designation preferred.
Must have strong knowledge of both the real estate and capital markets.
Extensive analytical, problem solving, negotiating and organizational skills are required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and capable of communicating with all levels of personnel as well as outside professionals.
Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Bloomberg.
Some travel required (less than 25%).
