Regulation C/Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) requires certain banks and lenders report up to 110 points of data with exceptional accuracy per their published guidelines. HMDA Coordinator is responsible for executing various tasks that are directly affect the annual reporting of the Loan Application Register (LAR) on behalf of Independent Bank as regulatory required. The HMDA Coordinator performs reviews and updates to ensure accurate reporting per regulations. Incumbent is responsible for a variety of complex lending transactions.
Review loan packages to accurately extract application data for reporting consistent with the requirements of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, including converting loan document components into regulatory format for bank and mortgage applicable transaction.
Document and clear audit exceptions per department and regulatory guidelines.
Work with applicable departments to ensure all regulatory requirements are met implementing HMDA regulations
Create and/or update HMDA loan files and ensure they are properly documented for internal and regulatory review.
Assist in preparation for audits and reviews.
Adhere to operational controls to ensure safety and security of customers and bank assets. This includes (but is not limited to) legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures
Ensure regulatory compliance with RESPA, etc.

High school graduate or equivalent education certificate (GED)
Some college course work preferred
1 + years' experience in real estate loan documentation or real estate compliance required, 3 5 years preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word,)
Previous loan compliance audit experience preferred
Must have good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and be self motivated with a cooperative attitude
Demonstrate a general level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirement
