About the Role
Mountain West Bank is in search of an enthusiastic and motivated Real Estate Clerk for our Coeur d'Alene location. If you are looking to get into the world or Real Estate this is a great place to start! This position sets up loan applications upon receipt, orders related documents for real estate loans. Acts as liaison with the processor/originator, realtors, brokers, customers, and the public maintaining a professional, customer service oriented demeanor in all contact. The RE Clerk must be client focused, hold confidentiality in the highest regard, have a technical capacity, be very thorough and communicate proficiently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as liaison between the company, the broker, realtor, and the processor/originator to ensure timely closing of the loan, accurate completion of all loan documents, proper and complete signatures, and coordination of closing process.
Set up loan applications upon receipt.
Responsible for ordering employment and deposit verifications, MERS verifying residential properties, background checks off government lists and property and other 3rd party checks.
Respond to inquiries concerning real estate loan matters, referring more complex questions or problems to the appropriate person for follow up.
May enter loans on in-house computer system and be responsible for automated underwriting submissions and the review of loan files for alerts and accuracy.
Assist as needed with follow up on missing or incomplete loan documentation.
Perform secretarial/clerical duties such as answering telephones, typing correspondence, and reports.
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year clerical experience.
Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently. Strong organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail
Excellent customer service experience
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal to occasionl moderate noise.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific lifting abilities required by this job include:Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
