Job Summary

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in the key areas of recruiting experienced agents, coaching, and training new agents. The Assistant Manager is expected to support and promote all company products, services, programs and personnel in order to fulfill the companys vision of delivering an extraordinary real estate experience.

This is a position with our Lincoln Park brokerage office located at 2526 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60614.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of effective training techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of contracts and negotiations
  • Strong social media and marketing skills
  • High capacity of technology usage in real estate industry
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Prior sales management experience preferred
  • 3+ years real estate sales experience required
  • Must hold an active Illinois Managing Brokers License or obtain license within six months from date of employment
  • Valid Illinois drivers license and be willing to travel to various company locations

If you want the freedom to grow at a firm that is invested in your future, keep reading.</p><p>THE OPPORTUNITY:</p><p>As the Practice Development &amp; Marketing Assistant, you will assist the Practice Development and Marketing &amp; Business Development Directors, Managers and Coordinator with practice management, marketing and business development initiatives by providing the support and coordination necessary for a successful outcome. You will play an active role in the development and implementation of key initiatives and programs and will be responsible for coordinating the activities of project stakeholders to ensure successful and on-time project execution. You should be a highly motivated self-starter with an attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. You will report to the Practice Development Manager for Corporate &amp; Real Estate.</p><p>THE DAY-TO-DAY:</p><ul><li><p>Assist with distribution of monthly practice group financial reports utilizing Microsoft Excel.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate logistics for Corporate and Real Estate group meetings and national CLE programs. Communicate with IT and office leads to ensure smooth video conference connections, as well as specialized AV needs. Attend meetings to provide support to leaders, including but not limited to taking notes, PowerPoint management, and any related follow-up.</p></li><li><p>Assist with preparation and coordination of handout materials for department meetings, practice group meetings, and client webinars.</p></li><li><p>Draft internal communications for the department including but not limited to: transaction reports, internal and external newsletters, invitation content, surveys, and announcements.</p></li><li><p>Manage all aspects of the Practice Group portal pages.</p></li><li><p>Support processes for external-facing client communications, including formatting and distribution, as needed.</p></li><li><p>Create effective, visually appealing and brand compliant presentation drafts using PowerPoint.</p></li><li><p>Liaise with design team to edit department collateral and internal materials.</p></li><li><p>Support PD team with preparation of league table submissions and reference management, including use of CRM system.</p></li><li><p>Various ad hoc projects as needed and requested.</p></li></ul><p>YOU HAVE:</p><ul><li><p>Undergraduate degree in business or related field or equivalent job experience.</p></li><li><p>One-to-two years of experience in a professional services environment. Law firm experience preferred but not required.</p></li><li><p>Superior organizational skills, extreme attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
