Job Description:


Works within the Analytical/ADME group in CDoT with the primary responsibility to conduct absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and transport (ADME) studies to support the discovery and development of drug candidates. Additional responsibilities include implementing LC-MS/MS based bio-analytical methods, analyzing and reporting data as well as operating and maintaining analytical laboratory instrumentation. Requires cross-functional interaction with biologists, organic chemists, software engineers, and other institute members on a regular basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operating and maintaining analytical laboratory instrumentation; preparing, ordering, and maintaining necessary reagents, solutions, and supplies; and data collection and analysis.


  • Performs ADME assays including solubility, microsomal stability, plasma stability, chemical stability and plasma protein binding.

  • Implements bio-analytical methods for in vitro ADME assay samples and the assessment of in vivo PK samples.

  • Responsible for operation and maintenance of analytical instrumentation.

  • Manages scheduling and compound shipment for outsourced in vitro ADME and in vivo pharmacokinetic studies.

  • Responsible for managing data upload to database for all internal/external ADME studies.

  • Works with biologists, organic chemists, software engineers, and other institute members to conduct various bench level experiments to provide analytical chemistry support.

  • Prepares, orders, and maintains stocks of necessary reagents, solutions and supplies.

  • Performs other duties as necessitated by the position or as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences, biology, chemistry or analytical chemistry with at least 3 years of experience or Master's degree with at least 1 year of experience in related laboratory techniques.

  • Experience performing high throughput in vitro ADME assays.

  • Strong hands-on LC-MS instrumentation skills and the ability to perform bio-analytical LC-MS based assays. Experience with high resolution accurate mass instrumentation is desirable.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact collaboratively with all staff levels

  • Efficient organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Qualifications: * 3-5 years of experience within a clinical setting. * Healthcare, Diagnostic or Biotech industry required. * Demonstrated success in study planning and execution; navigating cross-functional teams; risk mitigation and problem resolution. * Articulate and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to summarize status, risks, challenges, opportunities and recommendations. * Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. * Desire to improve the lives of people living with cancer.
