Reading Interventionist

Applications are now being accepted for a part-time TITLE I ASSISTANT, Reading Interventionist position. The minimum rate is $18.15 per hour, and employee benefits are not included with this position. The primary function of this position is to assist the Title I Reading Specialist and professional staff with the delivery of the reading program and support services to students. Title 1 Assistants work approximately 15 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:Associate's degree or two years of college required; PA teaching certification and experience working with school age children preferred.Strong communications skills.Experience or skills with computers is preferred.Must possess the temperament to work with students and adults exhibiting a wide range of emotions, and have the physical ability to perform the essential duties

RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the supervision of the teacher, plan and deliver lessons, administer assessments;Assist students with skills and comprehension;Assist students and teachers with computer software use;Perform Title I clerical duties as directed;Attend in-service and training programs;Attend parent/school meetings as requested;Maintain confidentiality of information.
