The Financial Specialist (FS) builds strong customer relationships by providing expert sales and service assistance, while offering valuable financial solutions. Through use of the Rhinebeck Bank Customer Journey, the FS, will seamlessly facilitate a relationship between Rhinebeck Asset Management and their branch footprints, which may consist of multiple branch locations. The Financial Specialist is a pivotal driver of exceptional in-branch customer experiences, with a primary goal of driving investment revenue. In partnership with Rhinebeck Asset Management, the FS will work to build relationships with Bank customers through proactive calling efforts, set appointments, identify investment and insurance opportunities, and recommend appropriate products and/or refer to a Financial Advisor.
Essential Job Functions:
Sales Excellence:
Proactively make outbound sales calls to both existing and prospective customers
Set proactive appointments with existing and prospective customers utilizing the Rhinebeck Bank Customer Journey to identify new sales opportunities.
Meet or exceed established activity and sales goals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales tracking reports, to include consistent use of RB Connect.
Travel to designated branches a necessary to meet customers needs
Collaborate effectively by referring non-investment opportunities to the appropriate employee or department.
Service Excellence:
Strive to meet or exceed established service targets by following the Rhinebeck Bank Service Standards.
Present the bank's professional image and uphold a customer service-oriented approach at all times.
Create memorable and satisfying customer interactions by addressing a variety of needs, focusing on advisory services and expert guidance.
Act as a conduit for customer feedback, relaying valuable insights to management for continuous improvement.
Cultivate strong, lasting customer relationships, embodying the bank's professionalism and commitment to outstanding service
Demonstrate consistent follow-up with customers, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or additional needs that arise.
Employee Development:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (preferred)
FINRA Series 7 and 66, or 6 and 63or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
NYS Life and Health licenses, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
Must have a valid Drivers license
Demonstrate financial product understanding
Proven track record of successful outbound sales and customer relationship management
Proficiency in financial software applications and the Microsoft Office Suite
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Effective coaching and mentoring capabilities, as evidenced by prior experience.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and compliance adherence
Thrives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
Salary Range: $50k - $70k
