The Childrens Home of Reading Youth & Family Services is seeking Part-Time Therapist at our Pennsylvania Forensic Associates Program.
The incumbent will meet with clients to facilitate group and individual treatment sessions to develop and execute a treatment plan that emphasizes prevention of delinquent/criminal behaviors and community safety. This role will help clients deal with delinquent/criminal behaviors, deviant sexual arousal, substance abuse, family problems, depression, suicide ideations, stress management, problems with self-esteem, gang involvement, and peer interaction/social skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
Assisting clients in challenging distorted cognitive beliefs.
Guiding clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
Developing and implementing treatment plan.
Collaborating with other staff members to perform clinical assessment and develop treatment plans.
Preparing and maintaining all required treatment records and reports.
Facilitating group and individual treatment sessions.
Facilitating family therapy sessions when deemed appropriate by members of the Treatment Team.
Working with probation officers, caseworkers, and other relevant interested parties in order to exchange necessary information during the treatment process.
Ability to work evening hours that may be essential in meeting clients scheduling needs
