FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to assist Expanded Impact Teachers/Multi-Classroom Leaders in lesson delivery, instructional interventions, managing procedures and supervising students during transitions, lunch, recess, assemblies, and other activities. Reach Associates, aid instruction by supervising projects, skills practice, and digital learning, and/or by instructing students in small groups or individually. All activities are directed by the multi-classroom leader or Expanded Impact Teachers. This position is a 10-month position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instruct individual students or groups of students in curricular areas as guided by the Expanded Impact Teachers/Multi-Classroom Leaders.
Plans and collaborates with the Expanded Impact Teachers/Multi-Classroom Leaders to devise instructional strategies, including the use of digital learning as appropriate, for reinforcing skills and concepts based on the understanding of individual students and their needs, interests, and abilities.
Assesses student learning progress in the group and communicates results and recommendations to Expanded Impact Teachers/Multi-Classroom Leaders.
Holds students accountable for high expectations of behavior and engagement that are ambitious and measurable.
Identifies and addresses individual students social, emotional, and behavioral learning needs and barriers.
Instruct/support small groups and individuals, under the direction and using the tools/rubrics of the supervising teachers.
Creates environments conducive to collaborative and individual learning.
Supervises, monitors, and manages students as requested, including transition times, less structured time, and individual work time.
Assists in administrative paperwork by checking materials and portfolios, correcting papers, supervising, and testing as directed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of general methods of education and teaching including computer assisted instruction.
Knowledge of principles and procedures of computer systems operations that includes digital learning programs and online data reporting.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, tutors, teacher assistants and school leadership.
Ability to plan and conduct small group instruction.
Ability to work and make decisions effectively and independently, enabling the Reach Team to meet student achievement targets with minimal supervision.
Ability to evaluate situations, examine or analyze student assessments results, prepare recommendations, and then take effective action quickly.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Pay Grade 55 - Pay Rate $2,627.80 Monthly
