The incumbent reports to a Sr. R&E Manager and receives direction in the form of general business strategies. This individual is responsible for leading a team of R&E Researchers who conduct product development work supporting the Huggies diaper business. The successful candidate provides team leadership to an R&E product development team within the Baby & Child Care Product Development department of Personal Care R&E.

In this role, you will:

  • This position will lead a diverse team of up to 10 direct reports to develop and commercialize product solutions to deliver unmet customer needs in the key segment areas.

  • People leadership to include talent development, performance management, compensation planning and organizational effectiveness.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor team members to execute product development work and improve Huggies diapers business results.

  • Develop product timelines and learning plans to integrate into project team to understand critical milestones and priorities.

  • Develop and manage the budget and resource forecast relating to projects.

  • Drive key business decisions relative to project launches, success criteria, approach, etc.

  • Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates and others who have need to know.

  • Break down barriers for the team members to ensure they can deliver their objectives, and when they are unable to break down the barriers, escalate to the Huggies Sr. Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline

  • 7+ years experience developing and executing product development work in R&E or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills providing work direction to a multi-functional team.

  • Be comfortable navigating through ambiguity and complexity.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence people at all organizational levels, drive decision-making and execute complex projects on demanding timelines.

  • Ability to operate with a growth mindset and have strong mental fortitude to lead a team through challenges.

  • A history of delivering strong results for the business
