Position Summary

Assists the Dentist at chair-side in the concept of four-handed dentistry and prepares patients in a manner that will instill confidence in the staff and services of the Dental Division. Oversees RDA's and DA's, co-coordinates with the Patient Access Lead and Dental Clinic Supervisor and oversees sterilization procedures. Participates in community outreach, promotes a positive office image and maintains positive patient relations.

Essential Functions
1.Coordinates the preparation of reports and written documentation including patient records, as required by the department, company, state and federal agencies.
2.Performs a wide variety of patient care activities and assists chair-side in the concept of four-handed dentistry including but not limited to impressions, applying non-aerosol and topical agents, removing post-extraction and periodontal dressing, assisting in the administration of nitrous oxide, holding anterior matrices and placing and removing rubber dams.
3.Maintains a smooth, constant flow of patients from reception to operatories; coordinates the activities of several operatories through proper utilization of time, resources, abilities and patient needs.
4.Review patient records for accuracy and completeness; explains treatment recommended by the dentist in a manner that is understandable and supportive.
5.Prepares equipment, instruments, material and operatories. Performs routine maintenance of equipment and restocking of materials.
6.Operates X-ray equipment to make complete and/or selective oral radiographic services. Develops film by digital, automatic or manual processing methods; mounts and labels X-ray.
7.Ensures the established infection control techniques are administered in accordance with department policy to maintain a safe and pleasant environment.
8.Functions as OSHA Coordinator for the department. Updates and implements OSHA policies, keeps department informed of latest regulations and ensures that all areas of department are in compliance with OSHA regulations.
9.Monitors weekly, monthly and quarterly checklist of sterilization, X-rays, operatories, lab room, etc.
10. Monitors patient flow by communicating with providers regarding patient emergencies, patient location and waiting schedule.
11. Monitors ordering and utilization of supplies to optimize use and minimize cost.

Other Responsibilities
1.Maintains and submits orders to maintain an adequate inventory of forms, clerical supplies, copy paper and equipment.
2.Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
3.Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
4.Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.
5.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Supervisory Relationship

Reports directly to Dental Clinic Supervisor and/or Dental Director.

Position Qualifications

Education: High School diploma and/or GED.

Certification: Current RDA License.

Radiation Safety Certificate, CPR certificate. Coronal Polish Certificate.

Experience: 2 years as dental assistant.

Supervisory Experience: Some supervisory experience.

Equipment Used: PC, Fax, other office equipment, dental laboratory equipment, X-ray machine, Amalgamator, Assistina, Ultrasonic Cleaner, Autoclave and other sterilization equipment.

Technical Knowledge:
Four handed dentistry, full scope dentistry procedures and oral radiographic services. Computer skills involving word processing email and dental management programs such as Dentrix are preferable.

Other Excellent communication skills. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Essential Functions: The Global Hawk and Triton programs seek a candidate to support the Vehicle Management System (VMS) Hardware Avionics team. The VMS Avionics Hardware group is responsible for vehicle guidance, flight control, and management of flight critical hardware consisting of the following VMS subsystems: navigation, Identification Friend or Foe (IFF), Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), Radar Altimeter (RadAlt), Air Data System (ADS), flight actuation system, Integrated Mission Management Computer (IMMC flight computer). Candidate will perform software/hardware req'ts, design, development, integration and test of the Flight Critical Avionics Vehicle Management System (VMS) for the Triton Program. This position has an emphasis on the IMMC subsystem, with the expectation that the candidate will grow as a member of the team and take on additional subsystem duties over time. General duties for the candidate will include: development of requirements, informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements in lab, working with software team to implement requirements and load flight software, conducting trade studies, troubleshooting and sanitization of hardware in lab, supporting flight test activities, resolution of flight test anomalies, supplier management, and responding to customer inquiries. Specific duties related to the IMMC subsystem include understanding of databus standards (MIL-STD-1553, RS-232/429/485), analog/digital/discrete I/O, real-time operating systems, FPGA design, system architecture and ability to conduct testing of hardware in lab and field environments. Supplier level ATPs, Environmental Stress Screening, and QUAL Test Support is also required.
