RDA and Metrology Equipment Manager
As a RDA and Metrology Equipment Manager at Micron Technology in Manassas, Virginia, you will develop processes and methods to increase equipment up time, improve output, reduce cost of ownership and improve quality in a rapidly changing environment across a large variety of equipment models. You will be expected to be familiar with and put into practice the best-known methods from TPM, Lean, 6S, FMEA, Predictive Maintenance and 6 sigma practices. You must also demonstrate the ability to work best within a team environment and with a high level of attention to customer service. You must be skilled in the latest data analysis techniques and be data driven in all your decisions. You must possess the skills necessary to coach up and mentor a team of equipment engineers and technicians that operate in a 24X7 environment.
Must have Leadership Experience as an Equipment manager for more than 10 years
Must have expertise in Defect Inspection and metrology equipment and the process.
Must have a Vendor experience for Inspection and Metrology Equipment for more than 8 years.
Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to demonstrate that skill with minimum ten years of industry specific experience.
Must have proven experience of building and developing Equipment teams
Must have proven record of driving tool vendors for Service contract negotiations and alternative service contracts to meet business needs.
Must have systematic Problems Solving and troubleshooting skills.
Must be detail oriented and data driven. Track equipment performance and develop Pareto analysis of tool issues. Manage vendor support through documented CIP commitments.
Must possess sound methodology for organizing work, setting priorities and creating a work plan.
Must lead the effort to reduce costs in the area, and will need to demonstrate initiative, innovation and perseverance in setting up a cost reduction strategy via vendor or 2nd source CIP activities, redesigns, procedure modifications, etc.
Strong project management skills that has included successful interface with external groups.
Ability to coach and mentor process and equipment engineers and technicians.
Must have good interpersonal skills, to help inspire good team work among colleagues and vendor counterparts.
Must be safety conscious, conform to all Micron safety policies, and able to identify potential hazards prior to working on a piece of equipment.
Bachelor's degree in an industry related field or equivalent experience for more than 15 years.
