Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect VCF Software Source Code Management (SCM) systems including Perforce and GitHub, collaborate with the DevOps and Infrastructure team to manage and support the systems.

• Develop and implement VCF best practices for SCM usage, including branching, merging, and automation..

• Define SCM performance and scalability VCF needs to accommodate large code repositories and development teams.

• Collaborate with development teams to understand their version control needs and provide technical support and guidance.

• Develop and maintain documentation, including procedures, guidelines, and training materials, to facilitate SCM usage across the organization.

• Stay updated on the latest SCM features, tools, and technologies, and recommend improvements to enhance system functionality and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 12+ years of related experience.

• Proven experience working with Perforce and GitHub version control systems in a professional setting.

• In-depth knowledge of Perforce and GitHub administration, including server configuration, user management, and security settings.

• Strong understanding of version control concepts, such as branching, merging, and code review workflows.

• Proficient in development and operations of mission-critical software

• Superior knowledge of one or more programming languages which enable effective automation and customization of tools and solutions (Python is a must-have)

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $111,000 - $210,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
