The Role

The Services Engagement Manager (SEM) is responsible for setting our Small to Mid-Sized Business (SMB) customers up for success and representing the entire value proposition and effort behind a Veeva R&D Product Implementation. This is a critical role in ensuring successful customer engagements during the scoping and planning phase to establish the right strategy for implementation success for small to mid-sized Vault implementations. The SEM is an integral part of the sales cycle, acting as a solution expert working in close alignment with the Veeva Sales and Services Teams.

Utilizing their own regulated content management experience and Veeva product knowledge they will structure the right solution, set the right expectations, and identify the appropriate project charter; including staffing, timeframes, and associated costs. Delivery of Proposals and Statements of Work (SOW) are a key deliverable from the SEM, along with potential implementation partner recommendation and strategic alignment of the team prior to project start.

What You'll Do

  • Align closely with sales teams to provide implementation proposals and establish confidence with prospects in our ability to delivery

  • Set client and internal stakeholder expectations correctly with a focus on long-term success

  • Provide awareness and alignment with partner ecosystem

  • Position support, training and other solutions that may be needed for a successful customer experience

  • Travel estimate: Less than 25%

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, executive level presence and experience in facilitation

  • Ability to engage audiences of varying perception levels

  • Collaborative and consultative work style

  • 5+ years' experience delivering consulting services, including involvement in selling services

  • Content management experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Proven success in selling services

  • Ability to travel

Nice to Have

  • Direct Life Sciences Content Management Solution experience, preferably within the clinical, quality, or submissions space

  • Experience with Cloud-based solution deployment

  • Background includes exposure to compliance and validation standards in the Life Sciences industry

The Professional Services Engagement Manager's roles include tactical project management oversight and delivery, helping ensure projects are completed on-time, on-budget, with high quality. The Professional Services Engagement Manager is the primary point of escalation for client issues during a project and will build a working relationship with their sales counterparts within an assigned sales geography. The Professional Services Engagement Manager is also closely involved in helping mentor, develop, and evaluate consultants. Your Opportunity: * Engage with customers to understand their business drivers and application portfolio * Identification and development of specific opportunities and supporting business cases * Overseeing delivery of projects in account, ensuring high quality delivery * Act as single person of contact for Customer executives, developing deep, trustful relations * Educate customers on Tenable services and translate those into a clear business value proposition * Forecast business development and project invoicing What You'll Need: * Minimum eight (8) years of experience in IT consulting, information security and/or related fields * Minimum three (3) years of Project Management experience * Enterprise IT management frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ITIL) * Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards including PCI DSS, SOC-1&2, ISO 27001, etc * Superior and highly effective client interface skills * Experience running small consulting/delivery teams and project execution * Ability to create presentations, proposals and SOWs * Written communication skills include: formal documentation, statements of work, proposals, sources sought and request for information responses, white papers, case studies * Ability to deliver billable consulting work, particularly project management and the delivery of Tenable advisory services * Ability to travel to client locations when needed * BA/BS degree or equivalent experience And Ideally: * Computer Science or Math background * Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) If you've reached this point in the job description and feel you're still not sure if you should apply…Just do it!
