Pall Biotech is seeking a highly motivated and talented R&D Scientist II, Upstream Cell Culture to join our Biotech Process R&D team at the company's New England Centre of Excellence in Westborough, MA. In this role, you will support product testing and new product development for Pall's line of single-use bioreactors and downstream purification technologies. Our dedicated scientists are collaborative and focused on delivering best in class technologies and tools to enable our customers to develop and manufacture life-saving medicines.
As an R&D Scientist II you will conduct mammalian cell culture experiments in support of mAB or viral vector manufacturing. Maintain mammalian cell lines and cell culture sample analysis.
You will provide support from shake flasks to pilot scale stir tank bioreactors, 200L. The Scientist II will work with minimal supervision to perform data analysis and presentation of results to the cell culture team. Lab maintenance support including inventory and purchasing, equipment upkeep, related to feedstock provision for the Biotech Process R&D team.
Bachelors in biological science or chemical engineering with a minimum of 3+ years' experience in mammalian cell culture. MS office computer skills
Experience with Process Development of monoclonal antibodies and/or viral vectors. BSL2 experience.
Experience with analytical techniques including SDS-PAGE, BLI, ELISA, qPCR or viral potency assays. Experience with 5S, Lean principles, and DOE.
