Job Description

The R&D Packaging Associate Analyst will be responsible for developing and executing brand stewardship and productivity projects to deliver against PepsiCo AOP goals for our North America Beverages function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create new packaging development and initial commercialization project timelines to deliver PepsiCo Packaging Strategy.

  • Packaging expertise (lab scale to full production)

  • Planning and communication skills

  • Contribute to Research & Insights teams to incorporate packaging requirements into plans.

  • Maintain open communication and build strong relationships with multiple functions.

  • Provide support of new package development and commercialization programs.

  • Develop understanding of packages, products, and processes to support development of new packaging platforms, and contribute to troubleshooting and problem solving.

  • Support economic and technical feasibility studies on packaging platforms.

  • Provide technical support for field issue resolution.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Education & Experience:

  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Packaging Engineering.

  • 1+ years professional experience and/or internship experience

  • Any experience with the following is a plus:

  • manufacturing processes for beverages

  • development and execution of packaging programs

  • hot fill, cold fill, retort and aseptic packaging

  • flexible and rigid packaging

Other Job Requirements:

  • This position will require flexibility in working hours to set up and complete scale-ups, plant trials, or plant startups that may extend past typical working hours.

  • Some North America field travel will be required 20-30% total.

  • Occasional weekend travel is normal due to time required to travel to certain locations.

The CEBs develop, own and operate renewable energy projects and provide energy services to wholesale, commercial and government customers throughout the United States. The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for the technical support of vendor packages and in-house developed applications for the Finance and Accounting organization. This will include troubleshooting issues, performing upgrades, maintaining application integration components, developing custom reports and tools and database administration. Additional responsibility for ancillary systems as needed. The Programmer Analyst will also be responsible for coding, testing, supporting and documenting new computer programs, including mobile solutions. This individual will be involved in all aspects of the product development life cycle including gathering user requirements, designing the application, developing and programming the code, end-to-end testing and documentation. This includes taking a leadership role in the software development life cycle to ensure project tasks are completed. The Programmer Analyst must have the ability to perform support and development tasks independently and /or with minimum guidance. Responsibilities Core Responsibilities: Participates in all activities for implementing and rollout of new applications or system upgrades for the user community. This includes the coordination with application vendors and/or third-party contractors.Support existing in-house and vendor applications, including troubleshooting and resolving production problems. Involved in support and maintenance of third-party applications.Involved in testing activities, which includes creating a test plan with test cases/scenarios, executing and running the test cases, documenting and submitting problems to implementation team for correction.Facilitate requirements gathering by meeting with users and writing functional requirement and design documents that includes details of the user's needsDevelop functional scope and specifications for new systems and for significant enhancement of existing systems.Draft test plans and performs unit, integration and system testing and coordination of user acceptance testing.Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent required.
