Summary of Job Duties:
Responsible for ensuring compliance, accuracy, productivity and efficiency of R&D inputs to the organization, particularly product label development and maintenance. Responsible for supervising document control compliance for R&D processes, workflows, and personnel.
Specific Job Duties:
Supervise the development of label supplement facts panels and oversee compliance and review of all new product labels. Maintain current label development guidelines in accordance with current FDA labeling regulations.
Investigate and support the implementation of reformulations on existing products.
Review and compile supporting data, make appropriate calculations, communicate department recommendations.
Initiate and track documentation for the reformulation processes.
Establish and maintain written standard operating procedures, work instructions, guidelines and flowcharts for the R&D department. Oversee GMP compliance specific to the R&D department.
Support product and component file maintenance and compliance documentation for R&D in conjunction with the Quality Data Manager.
Serve as a problem solving resource cross-departmentally, including but not limited to customer service, production control, and quality control.
Support the department with minor administrative duties, as needed.
Perform all other tasks as assigned by Threshold management.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in nutrition, food science, biological sciences, or related field.
Minimum 5 years work experience in in the dietary supplement or closely related industry.
Good analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Basic mathematic comprehension and skill.
Positive attitude, team player.
Well versed in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Experience managing persons or processes.
Experience with Navision (Microsoft ERP system).
Experience conducting literature searches, and analyzing and summarizing research articles in the biological sciences.
